Iraqi Dolma

Prepared these Iraqi Dolma for tonight's dinner. These were on my list to make for the longest time and I am so glad to have finally made them. Dolmas as the name translates to 'something stuffed' is popular dish in Middle East and Greece with some variation in their spice and veg mix. I prepared dolmas' stuffing from ground lamb, rice, pomegranate molasses and all spice mix and stuffed them in zucchini, grape leaves and onions with potatoes layered in the bottom of the pan. Cooked on slow heat over 2 hours in flavorful broth and served with Salad and Naan. The prep and cooking process can be a little arduous but then again the experience and pleasure of having this delicious dish homemade was more than satisfying.
